Frank W. Fones, age 88 of Galesburg, Illinois, died at 4:38 P.M. on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Marigold Rehab and Health Care Center in Galesburg, Illinois.

He was born on September 14, 1925 in Coldbrook Twp, Warren County, Illinois, the son of Albert and Opal Taylor Phones. He married Beverly Mae Palmanteer of August 14, 1954 in Galesburg, Illinois. She survives of Galesburg, Illinois.

He is survived by his children: Jeff (Lori) Fones of Galesburg, Illinois, Doug (Teresa) Fones of Knoxville, Illinois. Gene (Cindy) Fones of Bonita Springs, Florida, Scott Fones of West Palm Beach, Florida; half-brother, Craig S. Fones of Detroit, Michigan, and one half-sister, Gail Fones of Detroit, Michigan; Seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard S. (Betty) Fones of Galesburg, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents and ten brothers and sisters.

He worked all his life in roofing in the area and he served in the United States Army.
