Ruth J. Heiman, 92, of Fredericktown, Mo., formerly of Charleston, died Thursday (Nov. 28, 2013) at her daughter's residence.

The graveside funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Janesville Cemetery. No visitation will be held. Caudill-King Funeral Home in Charleston is in charge of the arrangements.

She was born Sept. 3, 1921, in Abingdon, the daughter of Albert and Opal Maude (Taylor) Fones. She married George William Heiman in 1938; he died in 1974.

Survivors include two sons, William G. Heiman of Galesburg, and Danny C. Heiman of Janesville; four daughters, Geraldine Claeys of Galesburg, Earlene Kooms of Mattoon, Sandy Toombs of Fredericktown, Mo., and Merikie Toombs of Morse Mill, Mo.; two brothers, Frank Fones, and Richard Fones both of Galesburg; 22 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
