On January 29, 1924 at Glennon, MO, he married Clara Beel and she survives.
Also surviving are five sons, Lester, Elmer, Leonard and Jerald Spooler all of Jackson, MO; Charles Spooler of Lutesville, MO; one brother, John Spooler of New Hamburg; a half brother, Albert Spooler of Oran, MO; one sister, Mrs. Bertha Scharenberg of Oran, MO; three half sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Riechman and Mrs. Agnes Moore of Oran, MO; Mrs. Mary Hinkebein of St. Louis, MO; his stepmother, Mrs. Lena Spooler of Oran, MO; and 14 grandchildren.
One son and one daughter preceded him in death.
Services were Tuesday at Ward Funeral Home. Burial in Bollinger County Memorial Cemetery near Lutesville.
