"Mrs. Sarah Cundiff Dutton, 86, wife of Daniel H. Dutton, died at her home on Crab Orchard Road Sunday, following an illness of two weeks.

The daughter of the late Galen E. and Sabra Love Cundiff, Mrs. Dutton was born near Somerset Feb. 3, 1868. She married Mr. Dutton Feb. 19, 1893 and eight children were born to this union.

Mrs. Dutton held the oldest membership in the First Christian Church, having joined in her early teens. She devoted much of her time and energies to the welfare and progress of her church and was held in the highest esteem by the members of the congregation.

Mrs. Dutton is survived by her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Linda Dykes, Pocatella, Idaho, Mrs. Gertrude Waddle, Science Hill, and Gladys Dutton, Somerset; five sons, Willie Dutton, Silas Dutton, D.H. Dutton, and Joseph Dutton, all of Somerset, and Chester Dutton, Galesburg, Ill., two sisters, Susie Cundiff, Somerset, and Elizabeth C. Haworth, Gunter, Texas; and 10 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday. The Rev. L.D. Fisher conducted the services. Burial was in the Dutton cemetery."
