HAZEN — Mrs. Adam (Pauline) Sailer, 83, formerly of Hazen, died Saturday, May 30, 1970, in a Cheyenne, Wyoming, hospital.
She was born July 5, 1886, in South Russia, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Sailer, and she came to the United States with relatives in 1903 [Johannes & Susanna (Sailer) BENZ]. They settled at Mannhaven, Mercer County and she married Adam Sailer, October 23, 1905, in Fargo, North Dakota.
The couple farmed at Mannhaven and since her husband’s death in 1959, Mrs. Sailer has lived with her children. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Hazen.
She leaves eight sons, Richard and Edwin, Foster, Oregon; Tobias, William and Bernard, Pick City; Eldor, Wheatland, Wyoming; Arthur, Milton-Freewater, Oregon; and Albert, Stanton; and two daughters, Mrs. Norman (Bertha) Adams, Warren, Oregon, and Mrs. Harold (Helen) Ziemann, Cheyenne, Wyoming.
She also leaves 36 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Edward Sailer, Douglas, Arizona; Theophil Sailer, Lynwood, California; and R.J. Sailer, Bismarck, North Dakota; and three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Saxton, Campton, California; Mrs. Ida Mueller and Mrs. Dale Albers, Hazen, North Dakota.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, at Peace Lutheran Church, Hazen, with the Rev. Oliver F. Dewald officiating. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery.

Pauline SAILER at the age of 16 with the Johannes & Susanna (Sailer) BENZ family, immigrated to America via the Port of Antwerp, Belgium on the 7th of March 1903 aboard the SS "Vaderland" and arrived at Ellis Island, New York on the 17th of March 1903. They initially settled at Mannhaven, Mercer County, North Dakota.
Pauline married Adam SAILER on the 23rd of October 1905 at Fargo, Cass County, North Dakota. The couple was blessed with 12 children; Bertha, Richard, Helmuth, Tobias A, Albert, Eldor A, Bertha C, William A, Edwin W, Bernhard, Helen and Arthur D.
The Adam SAILER family farmed at Mannhaven, Mercer County, North Dakota until Adam's death in 1959. Pauline then lived with her children until her death in May 1970.
