Violet E. Murray Violet E. Murray, 71, of Route 3, Mount Heights, Morgantown, died Wednesday, June 16, 1993, at Monongalia General Hospital.

She was born Sept. 5, 1921, in Morgantown, daughter of the late Andrew J. and Anna B. McDonald Hilling. She was a lifelong member of Beulah Free Methodist Church. She was a former LPN with University Hospital (now Ruby Memorial Hospital), where she worked in obstetrics.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Charles Glenn Murray; two daughters, Charlene Gaston and Mrs. Paul (Sandra Luann) Nicholson, both of Morgantown; a son, Charles G. Murray Jr. of Raleigh, N.C.; a sister, Mrs.Richard (Shirley Hilling) Canter of Dellslow; two brothers, Paul Hilling Mountain Heights and Stanley Hilling of Kingwood Pike; and 11 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, Roy Hilling, Page Hilling, Vernon Hilling, Kenneth Hilling and Andrew Hilling Jr.; and three sisters Hazel Hilling, Gladys (Hilling) Nicholson and Mary (Hilling) Bacorn.

Friends may call at Hastings Funeral Home from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m.Thursday and at Beulah Free Methodist Church from noon-2 p.m.Friday, June 18, time of service with the Revs. Richard McClung and George McLaughlin officiating. Burial will be in Nicholson Chapel Cemetery
