Mr. Willie "Clyde" Hudspeth, 90, passed away Friday, February 7, 2014 at his residence at Highland Home in Ridgeland. Visitation is 1pm Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Lakewood Funeral Home, chapel services are at 2pm Wednesday with interment to follow in Lakewood Memorial Park.

Mr. Hudspeth was born in Louisville, MS in 1923. He served our country in the United States Army during WWII. He was in the 155th Infantry and was stationed overseas. He was a retired System Electric Meter man employed with MS Power and Light for over 30 years. He was a member of Oak Forest Baptist Church.

Mr. Hudspeth was a wonderful cook who especially enjoyed cooking on the grill. He was an outdoors man as long as his health allowed. He was a talented craftsman with wood, and enjoyed bass fishing, quail hunting and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his parents, (Irvin) Luther Hudspeth and Vertula Mayo Hudspeth, and his son Richard Clyde Hudspeth, a sister, Bertie Barham and two brothers, Olen and Curtis Hudspeth.

He leaves behind his wife, Mickey Bolin Burns Hudspeth; daughter, Barbara Hudspeth Pitcher (Lane) of Kearney, Nebraska; daughter-in-law Nafie Saik Hudspeth of Clinton, MS; step-son Ralph Burns, Jr. (Lita) of Coeurd'Alene, Idaho; four grandchildren, Mollie Elizabeth Bussard (Christopher) and Sarah Jordan Pitcher all of Thornton, Colorado, Richard Tyler Hudspeth, and Jeremy Ellis Hudspeth, both of Clinton, MS, two great grandchildren, Taylor Lane Bussard, and Emerson Rex Bussard.
