Mrs. Moyer was a member of First Baptist Church, where she served in the Adult Choir, the Handbell Choir and was the pianist for the Children's Choir. She was a retired Piano Teacher.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry P. Moyer and a son, Phillip Douglas Moyer; one sister, Jackie and a brother, Odell.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Thomas G. Himes, Princeton, W.Va., Pam and Ernie M. Stalnaker of Roanoke; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark Henry and Joan Moyer of Roanoke; eight grandchildren, Brian Himes, Eric Himes, Travis Himes and Adam Himes all of Princeton, W.Va., Mandy Stalnaker, Matthew Stalnaker, Josh Moyer and Erin Moyer all of Roanoke; four sisters, Wilma Horn, Shelby Jean Conn, Mildred Osborne and Carol McKinney; four brothers, Larry Stewart, Wallace Stewart, Ronnie Stewart and Jimmy Castle.
Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Friday, December 9, 1994, at Oakey's North Chapel with burial to follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 11 a.m. to 1p.m. at Oakey's North Chapel.
