Little bit was a beautiful little dog and companion to her mommy Caroline who loved her very much. She didn't act like her age, but that of a young puppy. She was very special and everyone that got to know her fell in love with her. The wag of her tail when you came up to the door of her barks at the time she was to have her medicine, she was never late to tell her mommy it was time for her medicine. She would always be watching the clock and making sure that she got her pill at 6:00pm. She would also watch the clock to see if her mommy would be home on time. She would wait to use the bathroom if she knew it was around that time for her mommy to come back home from work, until she seen her mommy come through the door. AT dinner time or any time you were in the kitchen making yourself something to eat she would be there and waiting for something to drop from the stove to the floor. Any time you sat at the table you knew she would be there barking for her share of your dinner even though she couldn't have it. She would only let one person rub her belly, that was her brother Troy. When she would play with her orange football, she would rub her head and ears as though she needed an itching. She would always bark at you to play with her and rub up against you for a rub and a scratch on her side and neck. When anyone came to the door and came in, she was always the first to greet you and bark for you to sit down. If you didn't sit down she would keep barking. At night time she would go out and make her rounds as everyone calls it, to see who and what has been in the backyard. She would chase after our cat Felix. But it wasn't all the time, it was only when she wanted someone to play with. When her mommy was watching TV she would rub her ear against the couch. She would go back and forth until she was satisfied. When she was cold she would cuddle up with her mommy's clothes and blankets and unwrap herself when she got hot. At night you could hear her drinking her water and going in and out of the doggy door. She was always drinking water. In the morning when her mommy got up she would always bark for her pill. If she wanted it early she would wake up her mommy by licking her face. After her pill she had to have 3 treats. She counted because she always knew when you only gave her one or two because she would stay by the counter where the treats were barking. At night she would go into every room to check on everyone. She had to make sure that everyone was safe and was in bed. She stayed in the doorway and slept. Sometimes she would push her nose into the bathroom door and check that everyone was alright. She had to check and see where everyone was, so most of the time she was up and moving around, especially around the time that everyone would be home. Her favorite place was behind the couch. It was always cool enough for her around spring and summer time. She would climb up on the top of the couch and peeking out of the blinds through the window and seeing who is comming up the walkway to the door. Being 17 years old came with major health problems like her heart, her breathing and her liver, No longer strong enough to battle her illness, she went to heaven where she can keep company with her daddy Tom and brother Tim. She holds a special place in our hearts where she left her footprints. We love you Lil Bit. Run and play in heaven
