The death of Mrs. Sophronia R. Ovenshire occurred Friday morning, August 30, 1918, at 3 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Martin Bellis, in the town of Barrington. Mrs. Ovenshire was one of the oldest women in the town of Barrington, being past 86 years of age. She was born in the town of Starkey on March 19th, 1832, her maiden name being Miss Sophronia Hyatt. When a young woman she was married to the late Lewis B. Ovenshire and for many years she had been a well known and highly respected resident of the town of Barrington.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Martin Bellis, with whom she made her home and another daughter, Mrs. Richard Plaisted, of Barrington; also two brothers, John W. Hyatt, of Newark, N. J., and Charles M. Hyatt, of Albany.
