Mr. Ovenshire was born in the town of Barrington, July 10, 1827, and had never lived outside of the town. During the active years of his life he followed the occupation of farming, for many years being one of the prosperous farmers of the town. When a young man he was married to Miss Sophronia Hyatt, of the same town. Besides his wife he leaves one brother, Albert Ovenshire, of Canandaigus, and two daughters, Mrs. Martin Bellis and Mrs. R. A. Plaisted, both of the town of Barrington.
