William D. Ovenshire was the son of Wilhelm and Nancy (Speed) Abendschon. Mary (Cole Ovenshire was his 1st wife. They were married in 1805. Mary died in 1816. Elizabeth "Betsey" (Gibbs) Ovenshire was his 2nd wife. They were married June 6, 1816. Elizabeth died June 29, 1875.
