Mary (Ovenshire) Lamb Barclay was the daughter of William D. and Elizabeth (Gibbs) Ovenshire. Rev. Charles Wesley Barclay was her 1st husband. They were married September 16, 1843. Rev. Barclay died January 25, 1847 at age 29. He was a minister in the Genesee Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Gilbert Lamb was her 2nd husband and he died October 26, 1882.
