Horatio Winslow Seymour was born to Andrew Milliken Seymour and Louisa Maria Goodyear. His parents divorced in about 1863/4 and he went to Wisconsin soon after to live with his uncle Horatio Gates Winslow. His father Andrew did not die when Horatio was nine years old like his biographies state. Andrew remarried to Elsie Coon and had three more children one of which is my gg-grandfather. Andrew died in 1908 and is buried in Ithaca City Cemetery (Ithaca, NY) next to Elsie. My research shows the divorce between Andrew and Louisa was nasty and Louisa may have "made up" the death story.
