She first married Andrew Milliken Seymour Dec 30, 1846. Children were: Clifford Henry Seymour, Horatio Winslow Seymour, Calvin L. Seymour and Charles Goodyear Seymour. Horatio and Charles were famous newspaper people in Chicago, New York and beyond.

She divorced Andrew and married John Norman McWhorter June 6, 1865. Children: Mary Louisa McWhorter

John died in 1877 and she married Horatio Gates Winslow of Wisconsin on Sept. 19, 1878, he being her former uncle by marriage (Louisa's mother's sister Emily Bradley was married to Horatio before she died). Louisa and Horatio had no children. He died in 1893 and she moved to Cuba, NY to live with her daughter Mary.
