Married Shirley Alfred "Doc" Cassidy at Brandenburg, KY. He preceded her in death October 10, 1952. She then married William Clyde Poole. He also preceded her in death February 1, 1972.
Married Lewis R. Smith. He survives.
Survivors include sons Harold (Kathy) Cassidy, Maynard (Mindy) Poole, Randy (Charli) Poole, Garold (Hyabg) Poole, Aaron (Anita) Poole; daughters Sue (Dan) Mountcastle, Rita (Dave) Fullenwider, Diana (Joe) Baker, Elsie Brunbaugh, stepsons Dale (Ruby) Smith, Brian (Sandi) Smith, Howard (Rhonda) Smith and step-daughters Velma Bullerdick, Joanne Troxil, Marilyn Thomas and Carolyn Jeffers.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, three great-granddaughters, sister Almyra Jane Chism and brothers Herman, Owen and Ivan Pollock; stepsons Leigh and Donald Poole and stepdaughter Ruth Poole Stonebraker.
She and her first husband moved to Parke County in 1949 and operated the grocery store at Byron. She and her second husband lived on a small farm in Parke County. She and her third husband lived on the family farm in Montgomery County.
She worked for several years at Dormeyor in Rockville.
She was a member of Byron Christian Church, Ladies Aid Society and Howard Township Home Ec Club.
Services 1pm Monday at Machledt and Servies with Mike Sabens officiating. Visitation 2-6pm Sunday.
