Our dear sweet mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, and friend, LaPreal, passed away peacefully April 17, with family by her side.
She was born to David Barclay Covington and Emmaline Amelia Larsen in Teasdale, Utah at her grandparent's home, October 12, 1920.
She married Cecil Thomas Spray, October 1, 1941, in Pleasant Grove, Utah at her parent's home. They were married 60 years. They were later sealed in the Manti Temple. She was a loving mother of four children and their spouses, grandmother to 13, great grandmother to 34, great great grandmother to 2.
She cherished her LDS church membership. She loved and served others with her kind heart. She worked as a nurse's aid at American Fork Hospital for 14 years. She loved nature, the mountains, fishing, oil painting, many handy crafts, and especially being near to her family and friends. Her loving nature and keen sense of humor will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
LaPreal is survived by four children: Jerry, Craig (Carol), Stanley (Peggy), Teresa (Terry) Brog, and her many wonderful grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents, husband, six siblings: Douglas Covington, Pearl C. Morrill, John Covington, Royal Covington, Roy Covington, Fay C. Fordham, two great grandsons: Gavin Robert, and Landon Tedrow, and son-in-law Delane Smith.
Funeral held for all family members Monday April 23, 2012 at Veteran's Memorial Chapel 17111 Redwood Road, Bluffdale, Utah. Gathering 10:00 AM, services 11:00 AM.
Interment following services (adjacent to chapel).
