JANE L. SAXON 85, succumbs
Mrs. Jane Lord Saxon, 85, 703 N. Madison St., died yesterday at 12:50 p.m. after an illness of one year.
Born on May 22, 1863, in Little Lever, Eng., Mrs. Saxon came to Rome when she was about 20 years old. She resided here ever since.
On Sept. 19, 1889, she was married to John William Saxon, who died about five years ago. The wedding took place in the parsonage of the First Methodist Church with the Rev. Samuel J. Greenfield, then pastor of the church, officiating.
Mrs. Saxon is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Silas B. Cornish, 703 N. Madison St., one son, Clayton Saxon, 606 Elm St.; and several nieces and nephews.
