Mrs. Fred (Laura) Schubert, age 77, of 3720 Bay Shore Drive, Sturgeon Bay, died early morning July 15, 1983 at home following a lengthy illness. A memorial Mass will be announced at a later date.
A lifelong resident of Door County, the daughter of Jacob and Amanda(Long) Simon was born in Institute December 14, 1905 and was married to Fred Schubert September 4, 1923. He died January 13, 1982. She was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church.
Mrs. Schubert is survived by one daughter Margaret Reike of Sturgeon Bay;
two sons: George A. Schubert of Sturgeon Bay and Fred J. Schubert of Mount Vernon, Ohio;
five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren;
one brother Ernest Simon of Plainwell, Michigan and nieces and nephews.
Two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.
There was no visitation. Davis Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
