DANVILLE, ILL, Oct. 12, - Gen. Black, Commissioner of Pensions, and wife, arrived in this city yesterday from Elmira, N. Y., with the remains of their daughter Larone, who died at Elmira about two weeks ago.
They were met at the Wabash Depot by a very large company of their friends. The remains were taken at once to the Spring Hill Cemetery, where brief services were held. Gen. Black returns to Washington to-day."
