She married Herman Bogaard March 9th 1916 in Marion County, Iowa.After a confining illness of only two days, Mrs. Herman Bogaard passed away Saturday afternoon at 5:00 o'clock at the Home for the Aged.

Her age was 83 years, 4 months and 21 days. Heart trouble, with which she had been aflFlicted for two years, caused her death. Mrs. Bogaard was born in Holland and had been a resident of this community for many years, where she was highly regarded by a large circle of friends and acquaintances. Surviving her are her husband, two sons, Henry Kersbergen, of Pella, and John Kersbergen, of Tracy, a daughter, Mrs. Artie Bloem, of Chicago, 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were held at the Home for the Aged Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, Rev. D. Hollebeek officiating. Interment took place-in Oakwood cemtery. -Pella Chronicle, April 7, 1932
