Mr. Tackett was born October 1902, in Johnson County, son of Sam and Mary Blanton Tackett. He was a resident of Whitehouse.
Surviving are two brothers, Frank Tackett and Andy Tackett, Whitehouse and two sisters, Mary Puckett, Paintsville and Esta Gibson, Piketon, OH.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov 14, in Hammond Freewill Baptist Church with Revs. Willie Duty and Hub Billiter officiating.
Burial was in the Tackett Cemetery at Whitehouse with Jones-Preston Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
