Duncan was a beautiful boy cat and had the most wonderful temperment and personality. Everyone who met Duncan loved him and he loved everyone.

He was an indoor cat except for the few minutes I let him outside each morning. He usually like to lay under the tree in the front yard for a short while then come in for the day. One day a neighbor came to the house and told me she had a complaint about Duncan and that I needed to keep him inside. I felt awful. I had no idea that Duncan was causing a problem. About that time she laughed and told me when she came through her front door to go to her car to go to work Duncan would start talking to her and she felt like she should come over and see him and talk to him. She said they had such long conversations that she was afraid she was going to be late for work. Like I said, he loved everyone.

Duncan had a lot of allergies and was on medication for them. The medication caused kidney problems. Thanksgiving Day, 1991, my family had been at the house all day. Duncan didn't go outside all day, but stayed in to play with the visitors. After they left he wanted to go out. He went right to the tree he liked to lay under. I was watching him through the window as I was washing dishes. There was a slight breeze blowing. I could see his fur moving, but he looked so still other than that. I went out to check on him and he had already gone to Rainbow Bridge.

Duncan's passing put a huge hole in my heart. It's been more than 20 years since he died and he is still missed very much.
