Donna Walden Hinkle, 61 years and 8 days of age, of Burnside, Kentucky, departed this life on Saturday, February 22nd, 2014 at the Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
Donna was born on February 14th, 1953 in Burnside, Kentucky, daughter of the late James Edward and Ruby Kathleen Flynn Walden. Donna was a member of the First Baptist Church of Burnside, worked for Wal-Mart for 36 years and was a graduate of Burnside High School in 1971. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, watching UK Basketball, spoiling her granddaughters, shopping, watching mud bogging and crocheting.
Donna was survived by her husband, Vola "Toby" Hinkle, whom she married in Burnside, Kentucky on July 24th, 1970; one son, James Ray (and Angel) Hinkle; one daughter, Teana Nicole (and Joey Cambron) Hinkle; one brother, J.C. (and JoAnn) Walden; one sister, Betty Jane (and Dwight) Helton; four friends who were like sisters, Emma Branum, Linda (and Leroy) Goldson, Sheila Hansford, and Delora Tibblas; four granddaughters, Logan Paige Hinkle, Jordan Elizabeth Hinkle, Cydney Jade Hinkle, and Raylee Jo Cambron; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Walden, who departed this life on May 26th, 2004 and Kathleen Walden, who departed this life on May 2nd, 2012; and one nephew, Dwight Helton, Jr.
Visitations were held on Wednesday, February 26th, 2014 after 6:00 p.m. at the Southern Oaks Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, February 27th, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Clyde Strunk officiating.
Burial followed in the Burnside Cemetery in Pulaski County, Kentucky.
