Thelma Fultz died Monday, May 5, 2008, at Grace Health and Rehabilitation Center in Clinton. She was 79, a native of Koscuisko, Miss., and a resident of Clinton. She was manager of Poe's Jewelers for 20 years and a saleswoman at Bruce Terminex for 10 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Visitation was held Tuesday, May 6, at Charlet Funeral Home Inc., Clinton, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visitation continues at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 7, from 9 a.m. until service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Rusty Bowser. Interment in Bluff Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Clinton.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Linda Kay Fultz McKnight, of Clinton, and Bonnie Fultz Ramos and husband Felix Ramos, of California; four grandchildren, Richard "Rickie" E. McKnight Jr. and wife Kelli Merritt McKnight, David Randall "Randy" McKnight and wife Kelli Forbes McKnight, Fee Ramos and Kaylind Ramos; and three great-grandchildren, Laurin Elizabeth McKnight, Mason Bridges McKnight and Connor Layne McKnight.
Preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, James B. "J.B." Fultz; parents, Amos Brunt and Kate Peeler Brunt; and son-in-law, Richard "Dickie" E. McKnight; five sisters and two brothers. Pallbearers will be Michael Sylvester, Jerry Oscar Sylvester, Rickie McKnight, Randy McKnight, James Michael Bradham and Rip Polk. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Joe Dendy, Mason Bridges McKnight, Fee Ramos, Felix Ramos and Charles May.
