Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 1st, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Central Baptist Church, 1111 Prince Street, Beaufort. Burial will follow in the Indian Hill Cemetery, Eddings Point.
Adell Wheeler Myers, daughter of the late Andrew and Ruby Wheeler, was born July 23, 1924 in St. Mary's, Georgia. She entered into an eternal slumber on Friday, February 21, 2014, at Beaufort Memorial Hospital.
Adell, affectionately known as "Ma Ma", was united in holy matrimony with Herbert Myers Sr., who preceded her in death. In 1975, she relocated to Beaufort, South Carolina and later became a member of Central Baptist Church. She was known for feeding and helping others in the community. A true missionary in every sense of the word.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by five children: Emma Mae, Leroy, Sherman, Carter and Herbert Myers; three brothers: Albert Wheeler, Frank Wheeler and Henry Wheeler.
She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and friend, who will truly be missed.
Those left to cherish memories of Adell include her children: Andrew (Gloria) Myers, Melvin (Mariah) Myers, Yvonne Myers, Emma (Timothy) Myers and Jerlene Stevenson (Clarence) all of Beaufort, SC, Henry Myers (Helen) of St. Mary's, GA and Glenda Graham of Bluffton, SC; a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
