Death of Mrs. Harry Currier.

Mrs. Harry Currier passed away Saturday, Nov. 27, after an illness
of several weeks. Blanche Douglas Currier was born in Maidstone,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Douglas, one of a family of 11 children. She
is survived by six brothers, William and Walter Douglas of Concord, Albert
and Herbert Douglas of St. Johnsbury, Frank Douglas of Wisconsin,
Herbert Douglas in North West Canada, one sister, Mrs. Herbert Moore of St.
Johnsbury and one half-sister, Mrs. Maria Bryer of West Burke. There are also
two nephews, Millard and Tracy Ball, to whom she has given a mother's care for
nearly eight years. Mrs. Currier has been a resident of Concord for 31 years. She
was married to Harry Currier at Concord Sept. 1, 1897. Mrs. Currier had
been an active member of the M. E. church for 15 years, where she will be
greatly missed, she was also a member of Concord Grange, No. 480.
Mrs. Currier had none but friends in the town where nearly her whole life has
been spent. The funeral was held from the home Monday at 1 p. m., Rev. M. H.
Smith, pastor of the M. E. church officiating. Music was furnished by a mixed
quartette, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Owens, Miss Angie Hovey and J. K. Hovey.
Interment was beside her father and mother in the new cemetery. The bearers
were four brothers, Albert, William, Walter and Herbert Douglas. Those
called here to attend the funeral were, Albert Douglas, Frank Reed, Mr. and
Mrs. Herbert Douglas, Mr. and .Mrs. Herbert Moore. Mr. and Mrs. W. H.Gero,
Mrs. Carrie Douglas, Miss Hazel Douglas, Miss Jennie Underwood, Moody
Evans, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lang, Misses Grace and Bertha Miller of St.
Johnsbury , Mr. and Mrs. Job Damon, East St. Johnsbury , Mrs. C. L,. Bryer, West
Burke, Mrs. Charles Wheaton, Newbury, Alson Currier and family, Kirby, Mr.
and Mrs. C. A. Noyse, Mrs. Frank Ranney. Miss Mabel Ranney, Melvin McQueen, Kirby,
and Frank Miller of St. Johnsbury.
