CURWENSVILLE — Theodore Martin, 78, of George Street here, died at the Clearfield Hospital today at 8:45 a. m.

He was born February 19, 1875, in Buffalo, N. Y., the son of Henry and Mary Boyle Martin and lived in Curwensville for the past 60 years.

He was employed by the North America Refractory Company as a blacksmith and retired three years ago.

He was a member of the Curwensville Presbyterian Church and held life membership with the Rescue Hose and Ladder Company here and the Curwensville Loyal Order of the Moose.

Surviving him are four children: Mrs. J. Alton Shoff, Mrs. Maurice J. Brion, Clearfield; Mrs. David L. Clark, New York City, N. Y.; and Richard, Curwensville. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two brothers, Harry, DuBois, and Samuel, Buffalo, N. Y.

His wife, preceded him in death June 2, 1945. He was also preceded in death by four children, a brother and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Lininger Funeral Home with Rev. A. C. Clever, his church pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 10 o'clock, Thursday from 2 to 10 p. m. and Friday until time of services.
