Archie Newcomb, 77, died Sunday at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Dodge where he had been a patient for three days.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Sandvig Funeral Home, in charge of Rev. Bernard Olson, pastor of the First Methodist church. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Mr. Newcomb is survived by his wife, the former Ruby Woodard and four daughters, Hazel, at home, Mrs. Paul McDonald, also of Eagle Grove, Mrs. Pauline Weland and Mrs. Eugene Patterson, both of Orange, Calif. He is also survived by three grandchildren, one great grandchild, one sister, Mrs. Anna. Fisher of Eagle Grove, and one brother, Percy Newcomb of South San Francisco, Calif.

Mr. Newcomb was born near Eagle Grove, and made his home in this vicinity all his life. He farmed south of Eagle Grove, until 1950 when he and Mrs. Newcomb and daughter moved to their home at 600 South Commercial Ave. He had operated the Eagle Trailer Court since that time.

He was a member of the First Methodist Church.
