Mrs. Edith Keshner, 87, of 832 Washington Ave., Alton, died at Monday night at the Colonaids Nursing Home In Granite City after a six-month Illness.

She was born Aug. 28, 1884 in Edwardsville and moved to Alton 22 years ago.

On Nov. 6, 1902 she married Joseph Keshner in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Edwardsville. He died in 1932.

Mrs. Keshner was a member of St. Mary's Church in Alton.

Surviving are Mrs. Alvin A. Stolze of Fairmount Addition, Mrs. Helen Baird, with whom she lived in Alton, Mrs. Edith Brumley of Wood River and Mrs. O. F. Brewster of Temple, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. Will Rogers of Society Hill, S.C.; 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

At one time Mrs. Keshner and her eight sisters formed an orchestra.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. Wednesday at Gent Funeral Home where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

A funeral mass will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church and burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
