Interment followed in Delhi Masonic Cemetery for Mrs. Whatley who died Tuesday in a Houston, Texas hospital after a long illness.
She was a native of Epps and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Blanchard, of Epps. A former school teacher, and a member of Houston First Baptist Church, she was assistant manager of Craig's Department store in Houston.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy Whatley of San Antonio, Texas, and Mrs. Jane Cannon, of Houston, Texas; her mother, Mrs. Eula Grigsby, of Epps; and a granddaughter, Tracy Cannon, of Houston, Texas.
