TALLULAH - Services for Mrs. Eulah Blanchard Grigsby, 88, of Tallulah and formerly of Epps, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 16, 1989, in the chapel of Crothers Funeral Home in Tallulah with the Rev. Pat Lofton officiating.

Burial was in the Delhi Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah.

Mrs. Grigsby died Wednesday, September 13, 1989, in the Madison Parish Hospital, Tallulah, following an extended illness.

A native of Bentonia, Miss., she had been a resident of Louisiana since 1902. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Blanchard of Epps, and a retired school teacher after 42 years of service. She was one of the first 25 counselors in the State of Louisiana.

Mrs. Grigsby was a member of the Ogden Baptist Church in Bentonia and a member of the Retired Teachers Organization. She was former president of the Epps American Legion Auxiliary and the Epps Garden Club.

Survivors include three brothers, Jack Blanchard of Vicksburg, Miss., Marion Blanchard of Jennings, and John Blanchard of Mansfield; four sisters, Mrs. Eleen Windham and Mrs. Mary Nettles, both of Tallulah, Mrs. Edith Altazin of Baton Rouge, and Mrs. Eva Beckett of Norman, Okla.; two granddaughters, Dr. Judith Whatley of San Antonio, Tex., and Mrs. Jane Cannon of Houston; one great granddaughter, Traci Cannon of Houston; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Among the nieces is Mrs. Jennie Jo Siscoe of Rayville.
