KENTLAND - Daniel Woodrow "Woody" Bedinger, 84, died at 11 PM Saturday, Oct. 21, 2000, in his Kentland residence. He was born April 14, 1916, at Ridge Farm, IL. On June 14, 1935, he married Virginia L. Bridgeman in Sheldon, IL; she died March 23, 2000.

Mr. Bedinger was a 1948 Indiana College of Mortuary Science graduate. He worked for Hassett Funeral Home and Furniture and later became a partner in Towers Funeral Home of Kentland. In 1953, he solid his interest in the funeral home and began farming. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving from 1944 to 1946. He was a member of Covenant Federated Church, American Legion Post 23, and a past member of the Elks of Watseka, IL.

Surviving are a daughter, Patty Hutchinson of Kentland; a sister, Dormi Lee (Mrs. R.E.) Frazier of Indianapolis; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara Perry; a granddaughter, Tamra Perry; two sisters and two brothers. Service Oct. 25 at Mullan-Stitz Funeral Home, Kentland, the Rev. Dan Sutheran officiating; burial at Fairlawn Cemetery.
