Olga Lengyel, was born in Hungary, and became a trained surgical assistant in Kolozsvar, Hungary. Her husband Dr Miklos Lengyel, was a Director of the Hospital, where they both worked.
In the spring of 1944, the Lengyel family was all transported to Auschwitz-Birkenau, in South-West Poland. This included Olga, her husband and children. Olga was the only family member to survive.
After the War and the liberation of the concentration Camp Auschwitz. Olga emigrated to the United States, and settled in America.
Olga Lengyel founded the Memorial Library, which was Chartered by..The University of the State of New York.

In 2006, The Memorial Library, began the Holocaust Educator Network. A National Program for teachers interested in..Committed To Holocaust Education.

Olga Lengyel died age 93 (2001)
Cause of Death : Cancer.
