MARY EUNICE BEESON MAURER, a resident of Berryville, Arkansas, was born Dec. 28, 1914, in Chelsea, Okla., a daughter of Frank and Ida (True) Stephenson. She died Monday, Aug. 11, 2003, in Eureka Springs at the age of 88.
Mrs. Maurer loved to travel and traveled extensively through the United States mainland and Hawaii. She loved to garden and grew many beautiful flowers and wanted to share them with anyone who visited her.
She is survived by three sons, Jack and his wife, Glenda Beeson and Bill and his wife, Sandy Beeson, all of Berryville and Harold Beeson of Fenton, Mo.; her daughter, Doris Richard of Maplewood, Mo.; five grandsons, four granddaughters, 10 great grandsons, eight great granddaughters, and four great-great-grandsons.
Mrs. Maurer was preceded in death by her husband, Don Maurer; her infant daughter, Carolyn Sue Beeson; her parents, Frank and Ida Stephenson; five brothers, an infant brother, Ray Stephenson, Walter Stephenson, Clarence Stephenson, and Elzie Stephenson; and four sisters, Pearl Wisdom, Gladys Morris, Zella Crow, and Stella Stephenson.
Graveside funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003, at the Farmer Cemetery with Pastor Mark Bryant officiating. Arrangements were by Nelson Funeral Service.
