Lucille S. Gibson
93, of Winchester, widow of Malcolm Gibson, passed away Friday at the Fountain Circle Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. A native of Mt. Sterling, she was born May 11, 1920, to the late Charles and Edna Jackson Shultz. Lucille retried from Osram Sylvania after 27 years of service. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, former member of the Ava Tyler Sunday School Class, the First Settlers Homemakers, past member of the Rebekah Boone Lodge, and the Beverly White Towers Happy Gang. She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Peggy D. Gibson, granddaughter, Sarah (Brad) J. Condley of Winchester, grandson, Alan C. Gibson of Cynthiana, great-grandson, Daniel G. Thornberry, step great-grandson, Clay A. (Katy) Condley, and step great-granddaughter, Sarah G. Condley. Preceded in death by her only child, Charles E. Gibson. Services will be Tuesday at 11am at the Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St., with Dr. John Owen, Rev. Lee Cruse, and Chaplain Neal Meyers presiding. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5p-7p at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Winchester Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 32 E. Lexington Avenue, Winchester, KY 40391.
