Bo came to us from a breeder of English Shepard dogs in Hickman County, Mr. William Capps ~ my sister-in-law's Uncle who she loved and admired. Bo was only six weeks old and napping in the sunshine at our house one day when the exterminator service came to do their monthly maintenance and accindentally ran over our sweet new puppy. Several surgeries later and two cardiac arrests while at The All Animals Clinic in Dickson, Dr. Greg Thomas and his staff saved our little guy! Sadly his right back leg had to be amputated at the hip and his right left leg had to have pins in it his entire life. Fused with his paw facing the sky he was a funny-looking figure zooming across the yard, always keeping up with his play buddies, Penny and Higgins. I smile as can still visualize the tracks he left while playing in the snow ~ a paw print, a skid mark, a paw print, etc etc. And the joy on the kid's faces during the winter when Bo would sit in their plastic toy tubs and let them send him sailing down the hillside covered in snow and ice! He had such a big heart and may not have ever known that he had any handicapps during his life as he adapted so well after his casts came off after a few weeks. The hours we spent playing with him in the yard and the stories our children still tell about Bo are precious memories indeed. I loved this little guy more than words can ever tell and know that one day we'll be reunited where I know he has a perfect Heavenly body now. And I have faith that he is showing God his beautiful smile. I hope that there's an endless supply of tennis balls there. Hugs.
