Daniel was the son of Abraham Gold.

Daniel married Mary Ann (Kendall) Gold Greene (3 Jan 1820 - 16 Apr 1875) on 11 Aug 1840 as her first husband. Mary was born in Kentucky to Amos Kendall (16 Aug 1789 - 11 Nov 1869). Amos is #2447.

Daniel died of Consumption.

"At his residence near this city yesterday morning the 3d instant after a lingering illness, Daniel Gold, Esq., late and for many years a clerk in the Clerk's Office of the House of Representatives, leaving a wife and two small children to mourn their irreparable loss. His funeral will take place at his late residence, this day at 2 o'clock p.m. where the friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend."
