Frances "Mee Maw" Castleberry, 93, wife of the late Homer Castleberry of Fort Smith went to heaven on Wednesday, March 30, 2005.

She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas to the parents of Roy and Effie Lane and resided in Fort Smith most of her adult life.

She was a member of the Westminister Presbyterian Church and the Central Presbyterian Church, where she was very active in the women's ministry, and a member of the Ella Leavitt Sunday School class.

Frances leaves a son, his wife, a daughter and her husband, eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was held on Saturday, April 2, at 2 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Oak Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 2901 Rogers Avenue, Fort Smith, AR 72901; the Clearing House, 300 S. 11th Street, Fort Smith AR 72901; or the Dorcus House at Northside United Pentecostal Church, 3700 Kelley Highway, Fort Smith, AR 72904.
