Mrs. Nellie Owens
Mrs. Nellie Owens, 83, of 235 S. Main St., Minoa, died Friday at Minoa Nursing Home after a long illness.
Mrs. Owens lived in Minoa for 44 years and was a member of the Minoa United Methodist Church. She was a member of the United Methodist Women’s Organization and the Royal Neighbors of America. She had been a member of Rebekah Lodge and Woman’s Christian Temperance union. She was a former member of the Minoa Eastern Star Chapter.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Gladys Wilson of Earlville, Mrs. Elcina Barnes of Apopka, Fla., and Mrs. Gertrude Verdow of Minoa; one son, Duvard T. Hale of Liverpool; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Russell H. Schepp Funeral Home. Burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 109 East Ave., Minoa.
