Leonard G. Stalans, Sr - age 78, of Route 2, Blaine, passed away 10 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 1989 at the residence after an extended illness. Member of Mouth of Richland Baptist Church. Preceded in death by son, John W. Stalans. Survivors: wife, Mrs. Lou Ella Stalans, Blaine; daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Maples; Washburn, Mrs. Wanda Smith, Blaine, Ms. Roberta Whaley, Knoxville, Mrs. Pamela Berry, Blaine; sons, Leonard Jr. of Rutledge, Bobby and Larry of Blaine; 25 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Audra Jones, Blaine, Mrs. Ethel Stipes, Corryton, Mrs. Vondell Campbell, Maynardville, Mrs. Helen Graham, Dandridge, Mrs. Marlene Loveday, Knoxville, brother, Herbert Stalans, Little Rock, Ark.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 2 p.m. Monday at Mouth of Richland Baptist Church, Rev. Barney Evans, Rev. A.R. Bumgardner officiating. Interment Richland Cemetery. Friends may call at their convenience after 2 p.m. Sunday at the home on Indian Ridge Road. The body will be moved from the home to the church one hour before the service.
