Mardella (Casto) Woofter Blair, 90, went home to our Lord on Saturday, August 18, 2012, at York Lutheran Home at Sprenkle Drive, York, PA. She was the wife of the late William Kenneth Woofter and the late Edward Eakin Blair.
A celebration of life tribute service was held at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory in York, PA, with her Visitation Pastor, The Rev. Roland E. Garvin officiating.
Born May 13, 1922, in Weston, WV, she was a daughter of the late Granville and Eva (Hess) Casto. Mardella was a homemaker and Mother; she also worked for the Lewis County School System in West Virginia for 17 years. It was one of her great joys working with children and helping them learn. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Blair is survived by two daughters, Paula and Leah; a son, William; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, William R. Casto.
