Westernville - Monroe Hartson died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. H. Jones, Monday evening at 10:30 after an illness of two weeks. Mr. Hartson was born in Lee in 1832. In 1860 he was united in marriage to Miss Julia VanWagenen, who died 19 years ago. At the time of their marriage he purchased the farm in Beartown where he resided until about four years ago. Since that time he had made his home with his children. He was a member of Baron Steuben Lodge, F & AM, for 47 years. He is survived by the following children: Mrs. W. H. Jones of Westernville, Lewis M. of Lee, and LeRoy C. of West Branch, also nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and one brother, E. Clark Hartson of Lee.
HARTSON - Entered into rest in Westernville on February 9, 1920, Monroe Hartson, aged 87 years. The funeral will be held at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William H. Jones of Westernville Friday. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
