The deceased was born Ada Purvis , the daughter of John Purvis and Jane Nobles Purvis. She had lived in the Irwin County all of her life and at the age of 86 was the oldest member at Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Survivors in addition to her husband, Ivey Harper of Ocilla, are a daughter, Mrs. Varnell Pope; a brother, Otis Purvis; and four sisters, Mrs. T. A. Baker, and Mrs. Waldo Paramoure of Ocilla; Mrs. Reba Wilbank of Duluth, and Mrs. Eve White of Cocoa, FL. Four grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.
Paulk Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
