Her father said she was the prettiest baby he'd ever seen and named her Fairsee because she was "fair to see." In her early 30s, she lost her doting father, her husband of just three years, John, and her unborn child, Deems Lowell—all within three months. Fairsee went on to raise her infant son, Stan, on her own while working as a hairdresser, an occupation she loved. She began her career in Lexington, TN, before she was married but later moved to Memphis where she worked at Atkins Beauty Salon for forty years. She was 70 when she retired and continued to live independently until she was 96 years old.
Fairsee became a born-again Christian as a young child and told everyone from waitresses to the doctor's staff about Jesus. She is survived by her 101-year-old sister, Evelyn Naylor, of Ft. Myers, FL; her son, Stan Crump, and his wife, Tracy, of Nesbit, MS; her grandsons and their wives, Brian and Courtney Crump, of Atlanta, GA, and Jeremy and Lindsey Crump, of Hernando, MS, along with four great-grandchildren, Nellie and Matthew Crump and Bennett and Ayla Crump.
Thank you to all who have ministered to Fairsee and to us during her illness and her homegoing.
The family will receive friends, August 12th 2021, 1-2pm with the service following at 2pm all at Hernando Funeral Home.
Burial will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery in Holly Springs, MS.
The family requests that all who attend services please adhere to proper social distancing and masks requested for all attendees.
