Jerry J Whittle, 88, of Denton passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014. Jerry was born on December 17, 1925 in Madill, Oklahoma to Sam and Stacy Whittle. He married Louise Billey on September 5, 1959. Jerry was also the owner of Jerry Whittle Boats in Lewisville.
The family will be at DeBerry Funeral Directors for a visitation from 1 - 3 pm on Sunday, March 16, 2014. There will be a service held in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 17, 2014. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Louise Whittle; daughters, Mitcha Woodson of Denton, Stacy Nelms of Dallas and Shelly Messer of McKinney; brother, Jim Whittle; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Stacy Whittle; and sons, Jerry Vaughn Whittle and Mitchell Whittle.
Pallbearers will be Vaughn Whittle, Graham Woodson, Mitch Nelms, Mik Messer, Terry Whittle and Eric Riemer. Honorary Pallbearers are Weldon Whittle, Sean Woodson and Mark Whittle.
