Earl Rose, 91, of Nashville died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2005, at Brown County Health & Living Center.
Mr. Rose retired in 1984 from the Department of Natural Resources where he was an engineer. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of Nashville Christian Church where he was elected deacon in 1962 and served as an elder from 1969 to 1986. He was named a Sagamore of the Wabash on May 19, 1984.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home in Nashville with Tim Bond and Paul Jasper officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be at Duncan Cemetery and military graveside rites will be conducted by Brown County Honor Guard.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Nashville Christian Church.
Born in Brown County July 20, 1913, Mr. Rose was the son of Theodore and Ollie Day Rose.
He is survived by his wife; sons,; a daughter, a sister, six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Muriel Shaull, Lillian Allender, May Rose and Faye Percifield; brothers, Lloyd, Ralph and Dale Rose; and one great-grandchild.
