ST. JOSEPH - Paul Beatty, 70, of St. Joseph, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, at home following his battle with cancer.
Paul was born May 24, 1939, in Grand Rapids, Mich., the son of John W. and Mary L. (Wilbert) Beatty. Upon completion of his high school education and serving his country in the United States Navy, Paul worked for more than 40 years as a dispatcher and terminal manager for Central Transport at stations in New Buffalo, St. Joseph and Detroit. He enjoyed woodworking, reading, following the Detroit Tigers and studying world history.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary L. Beatty.
