She was born Oct. 1, 1871, in Carbondale, the daughter of Flvious and Anna Cooper. She was married to Frank Underwood, who died in 1944.
Mrs. Underwood was a charter member of the Mt. Carbon Christian Church.
She leaves daughters, Mrs. Clara McMillian, Mrs. Edith Doolin and Mrs. Lola Imhoff, all of Murphysboro; sons, Robert, Alva, William, Raymond and Kenneth, all of Murphysboro, and Ralph of Jefferson City, Mo.; …
