MARK MINER, 70, of Fayetteville RD 3, was pronounced dead on arrival Wednesday night at St. Joseph's Hospital with a heart attack.
A native of Sackett's Harbor, he lived in the Fayetteville area 30 years. He was a member of Malden Road Community Church, Mattydale, and was a machinist for Thelen Iron Works 14 years before retiring in 1960.
Mr. Miner formerly was employed by New Process Gear Co. 25 years.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Pearl Lord Miner; three daughters, Mrs. Eugene Rockwell of Mattydale, Mrs. James King of Fayetteville and Mrs. Lyman Rockwell of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two sons, Robert of Manlius and S/Sgt Richard Miner of Glasgow AFB, Mont.; a brother, Philip Miner of Pulaski; 15 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Malden Road Community Church, the Rev. Rudolph Grossman, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow and Sunday at the Leitten Funeral Home, 2305 Brewerton Road, Mattydale. Contributions may be made to the church's Book of Remembrance.
